About Fanlistings
A fanlisting is, as the name implies, a list of fans. Some fanlistings are part of a larger fansite, while others are stand-alone hubs for fans to interact. Fanlistings can be created for a variety of topics. All of my fanlistings are listed with The Fanlistings Network.
Fanlistings & Me
I created my first fanlisting on the 28th of November 2004, for the band Mötörhead. I had a collective that moved around as I acquired new domains. I kept running fanlistings until spring 2007, when the stresses of college caught up with me. In that time I also helped out at TFL, first as a trouble checker, and then as a staffer. I also bowed out from staffing in 2007, when I discontinued my fanlisting websites.
In January of 2009, I got an email informing me that two of my old listings were up for adoption and it seemed like the right time to get back into my old hobby. For me, fanlistings are a great way of meeting other people with similar interests; and they're also a great exercise in webdesign, a skill I've all but given up. So I'm a bit rusty, but I'm back!
Help/Hosting/Etc
Although it may take me awhile to get back into everything, I'm always available to help out others. I have a decent understanding of html, css, php, and Adobe Photoshop. I don't use a WYSIWYG program now, but have taken classes in the past and may be able to help you out anyway.
If I have a bug, typo, or screwed something up--don't be afraid to point it out or criticize me. I'm going to have to re-learn some of the things that were once second nature to me. And I will not be offended. :)
As of right now I'm on a really small hosting package. So unless I can't help someone find another decent free host, I probably can't help someone looking for hosting. I may upgrade my package in the future and reconsider at that time.
